This was, by far, the most relaxed and enjoyable wedding I've ever had the pleasure of shooting.
Thank you Sharon!!!

Yesterday's self-portraits

At the risk of looking extremely narcissistic, I thought I'd practice with some single light setups on the only person that was there at the time. Me.

Maple Valley Days Parade

Of the many entires in this years' parade were a group of "garden" tractors. This is what happens when a group of self-proclaimed rednecks have too much time on their hands!

Matt Clayson

One of the uber-cool 2 cylinder tractors in the parade. It's a Farmall C. Dad had a 4-cylinder "Super C" we used on the farm in Whitney, ID when I was a kid.

This is a John "Willys" Deere.

Cole and the pup!

Tahoma High School's band

Clayson volunteered to help out Mr. Palmer by marching in the parade. The band lost a significant amount of members with this year's graduating class.

Congressman Dave Reichert

The Maple Valley Days parade is always a fun community based parade.

Clayson's Graduation

We were glad to have another one of our kids graduate a few days ago from Tahoma High School.

Vacation

We had a great time with my mom and dad at the new place in town. Dad's here on his lawn tractor cutting the grass.
The photo to the left is mom and dad working on the "berm".
The photo on the right is of Clayson, in a casket. I guess the heat in SLC the day we were there visiting the pioneer village near Immigration Canyon was too much for him. I loved the carpenter's pose here.. so respectful of the dearly departed.
More to follow in another post.

ASL camp

I recently had the opportunity to chaperon my son's filed trip to the Washington School for the Deaf in Vancouver, WA. I half-expected to be a quiet weekend since they're not allowed to speak out loud during this immersion-style event.

Needless to say, I was wrong.

Here are a few of the shots I took during that weekend.
